I'll keep this short and sweet. I am writing directly to registered Democrats in Norwalk. If this is not you, you can ignore!
We have an exciting mayoral race this year and it's a real chance to put democracy to work in a way we haven't for a dozen years: have a primary with two highly-qualified candidates.
Both Barbara Smyth and Darlene Young are two strong women who have served our community with dignity for years. Barbara recently won the DTC endorsement by a razor-thin margin. So close that, it does our city a disservice not to let the public decide.
Darlene Young's campaign deserves an equal shot, and needs to amass nearly 1,200 signatures to provide the opportunity at a primary. It's down to the wire.
If you care about our city and, in particular, our public school system - you will join me in signing this petition to let these two candidates further engage with the public - and each other - about solutions to the most important issues we face.
That's why, if you are a registered Democrat, I encourage you to go to:

It'll only take a few seconds to sign. Thanks for the consideration!
