Hi everyone,
Welcome to the Forum; a place where subscribers can post questions, ideas, thoughts, complaints, etc. to the community. Again, only subscribers can post, but anyone can read what's going on. This policy is subject to change (but I hope to keep!)
This is the Suggestion Box category; where subscribers can give us advice or ideas on the topics that are most important to them, and leads on accurate sites that support these. The NPI Team will consider these in our site updates.
This category isn't designed for back-and-forths, but note: please do not over-post. Keep things succinct and to the point, with considerate replies. Excessive posting in a thread will result in a warning, and if not heeded, a blocked account.
Please consult the Forum Guidelines. As much as we want this to be a democracy, if anyone starts breaking these simple "be a decent human" guidelines, the thread will simply be shut down.
I hope everyone finds this a safe, simple to use space to speak their mind and converse together in a considerate way, and for officials to see what's important to the community.
The NPI Team
Peter, you post this routinely on every local site there is. We have answered it numerous times. It’s in the Academics section of this website, under School Performance.

You may like or not like the results, that's not for us to say - but the state analysis is available for all to see, and has been every year. Mind you, the data release lags over a year. This is also always the case. We will update it as the state does.
We respect your query, but if you ask this again we will need to block the comment.
Why isn’t the Norwalk Public School District Report posted on the CT Dept of Education website posted on the website ? Neither the Hour nor the BOE discusses the Report nor presents the Report data to the public. Sadly the Report states the majority of Norwalk’s students fail to meet CT Edu Dept graduation standards. Especially for math and sciences. And that most City students fail to ever secure a 4 yr education. That ought be a major concern for our City. Where are the BOE plans for major student improvement ?
Our City’s schools have certainly changed in the last 4 decades when they were once well regarded,
graduations were full houses and our Supt paid $50k. Our son like his friends received a fine education and secured scholarships to top rated schools. Now according to CT Dept of Edu its a different story indeed. Where’s the public outcry, especially from parent groups, for major improvement ?
Our surrounding towns celebrate their public schools. And distribute ample information about their student’s achievements. They elect BOE members with major business and management backgrounds. And parents demand high achievement meeting CT Edu Dept standards.
Why can’t Norwalk’s schools do much better ? Is the problem our water supply ? Are we better off not discussing student performance meeting CT Edu Dept standards ? Is $300+ salary not high enough for a Supt able to meet CT Edu Dept standards for most students ?
